Saber Force: The Lightsaber is More Than Just a Blade
The lightsaber is one of the most iconic weapons from the Star Wars universe. Saber Force blades are made of plasma that serves as a weapon and tool for harnessing Force energy; it stands as a symbol for how much control of one's destiny you can exert over it. Lightsabers contain several essential parts beyond their hilt. First is a Kyber Crystal mined on Ilum in the younglings' Gathering ceremony. Saber Force bladesThe Blade Saber Force blades are its strongest asset in cutting power and force field deflecting capabilities. Still, the hilt also holds significant importance as an element of this weapon. Padawans who wield Jedi blades are known as Padawans, and it's seen as an essential rite of passage to design their lightsaber hilt - no two lightsabers look exactly alike! A Padawan's choice of colour for their blade also matters greatly - blue signifies light side while red represents darkness and vice versa. Jedi are known for creating their weapons by forging an unseen bond with a Kyber crystal. At the same time, Sith must use another technique known as "bleeding," pouring all their emotions, such as hatred or fear, into it until it turns red and finally cast their weapons from this crystal. Other major components of a saber are its primary and secondary crystals, power cell, focusing crystal activator and activation hilts. These all combine to produce that familiar glowing plasma blade fans love to admire! However, you may discover two hilts with almost identical interiors when cracked open! The Hilt A lightsaber's hilt contains numerous components and functions, such as an activator switch, blade emitter, pommel cap, focusing lens and diatium battery, providing power to its plasma blade. Furthermore, its powerful weaponry makes this weapon even more potent, capable of cutting through blast doors, enemy soldiers or entire fleets of TIE fighters with ease. Design plays a pivotal role in the beauty and mystique of any hilt. While its sleek exterior may look contemporary, inside this intricate object lies various cutting-edge components combining past with modern advances. Jedi, Sith and other Force-users often personalise their lightsaber hilts as an integral part of their training, creating something truly one-of-a-kind for themselves and therefore distinct to whoever wields it - which explains why many Star Wars characters possess distinct lightsaber designs from blade colour to shape and sound. The Crystals Saber Force blades, tip and pommel are powered by Kyber Crystals that emit a blue, green, or sometimes red glow when attuned to Jedi. Kyber crystals differ significantly from synthetic ones used by Sith. A kyber crystal must be exacting to produce the Force that attracts a Jedi, typically indicated by their lightsaber colour: blue for Jedi of the Light side, green for neutral side Jedi and red for Dark-siders who have enhanced their crystals to unlock dark power. There are also more exotic crystals with different benefits and abilities; below are just a few of these examples: Sapith Gem: Found only on the lost planet Lwhekk, this rare crystalline formation gives your weapon silver or grey blades. Additionally, this crystal enhances your Perception or Vigilance checks to locate enemies within short range and reduce the cost of using Reflect talent by one strain. A crystal soaked with Dathomir spirit ichor, these Nightsister crystals provide Jedi sorcerers or Wookiee sorceresses with the green blade associated with Dathomir spirit ichor and allow one die of damage against shield generator activated enemies plus allows rerolls for attack rolls during each encounter. The Power The lightsaber was once considered the ultimate weapon for Jedi knights living in more civilised times, boasting blades capable of cutting through blast doors or enemies while deflecting blaster bolts from incoming blaster guns. Although fictional, its impact on Star Wars canon and fan culture is undeniable. There are dozens of toys that provide only glowing blade effects and more sophisticated versions built for actual duelling competitions available for fans to purchase. But what powers these sabers? In Star Wars, lightsabers draw their power from Kyber crystals that amplify energy from power cells to create the blade of light. A real-world equivalent would require battery-operated motors that unwound translucent plastic strips when activated and formed cylinders as blade shape outside their respective hilts; after activation, a second motor pulled them together again to complete their loop and form one blade shape.
